C130J flies low over Upper Rissington

Yesterday, our beautiful village witnessed a very low flyby from a RAF Hercules C130J based at RAF Brize Norton.

Special thanks to David Harrison for supplying the pictures.

Why was the C130 flying over the village?

Not to land as the runway orientation is not aligned to his flight path. It has been suggested he is paratroop dropping, if he was this is a very low drop.
