Further to the general development newsletter issued in respect ofwork at Victory Fields, Linden Homes Thames Valley (Linden) and Bovis Homes can provide a further update regarding plans for the former Officers’ Mess building.

As you may be aware, it was originally proposed that the existing Officers Mess building would be refurbished as part of the wider redevelopment of the site. As part of the ongoing work in respect of this scheme, Linden and Bovis recently commissioned a structural survey of the building in order to obtain an up-to-date understanding of its status.

The conclusions of the survey confirmed Linden and Bovis’ own assessments of the Officers’ Mess building and the future viability of its conversion. The building is now in a poor physical state and both development partners have concluded that its planned conversion into 14 refurbished properties is not practical.

As a result, plans have now been submitted to Cotswold District Council (CDC) seeking permission to provide 14 new homes within this space. This newsletter, which we hope you find useful, contains further information relating to the submitted application proposals.
