Nr Bourton on the Water
Extract from Edition 22 of the Breeze: We would like to thank all you lovely villagers who have supported us for the last few months, either through shopping with us or donating your pre-loved items for sale.
An extra thank you also goes to our wonderful volunteers, without your help the store would not be able to operate. We always need more help, so if anyone feels like volunteering please come in for a chat. Even a couple of hours once a month can make a difference.
We are aware that some of you have been upset recently when we have not been able to accept donations, so we thought a little background info might be useful. As well as your donations we are also obliged to take a delivery of about 100 boxes and bags from our distribution centre each week. On the day this arrives our store room can become full to the point of being dangerous. This is why for short periods, (usually no longer than a day), we have to stop taking donations until we have sorted the stock safely. Once the fire escape and access to the toilet are clear we immediately take donations again. We are always grateful for all your donations and hate having to turn any away. After all, your unwanted items become our profit!
Finally, the holiday season will soon be here and we want to remind you to visit us to see our special Christmas goods. We will have a wide range of cards, wrapping and decorations available. We will also have many BNWT gift ideas in store. So before paying for parking and battling with crowds, remember to come in and see us first.
Thank You for your support,
